OUR PURPOSE

OUR SERVICES FOCUS ON THESE FIVE VALUES:

WORSHIP

John 4:23-24 stats that the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth, for God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in Spirit and Truth. This means that worship should be not just outward actions, but also a genuine, heartfelt expression of faith.

EQUIPPING

Ephesians 4:12 states that the purpose of spiritual gifts and ministry leaders is to equip God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up. In essence, the church should be a place where believers are trained and empowered to serve one another and contribute to the overall growth and flourishing of the community.

ENCOURAGEMENT

1 Thessalonians 5:11 states, “Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing.”

SALVATION

In Romans 10:13-14 the Apostle Paul emphasizes the importance of both belief and hearing the Gospel for salvation.


DISCIPLESHIP
Acts 2:42 describes the early Christians as devoted to the Apostle’s teachings, fellowship, the breaking of bread (communion), and prayer. They were unified in their faith and community, sharing their belongings and participating in daily gatherings.

OUR FAITH

  1. Salvation through confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior (Acts 4:12).

  2. There is only one living and true God. There are three persons in the Godhead: The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

  3. We believe the Bible to the be inspired Word of God (2 Timothy 3:16).

  4. We believe Jesus Christ, conceived of the Virgin Mary, is the only begotten Son of the Father. Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor (Luke 1:34-35).

  5. We believe we are justified (declared righteous under the blood of Jesus) when we repent of our sins and believe in Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

  6. We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ (Acts 1:10).

  7. We believe in the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman and family commitment. We promote strong family values (Hebrews 13:4).

  8. We believe in water baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 3:11).

OUR PENTECOSTAL IDENTITY

  1. In most services there will be an altar call or opportunity to make a decision for Christ. We believe that a life can be changed in a moment by making a commitment or a decision (Romans 8:8-10).

  2. We believe in the Baptism of the Holy Spirit with speaking in other tongues, as the Spirit gives the utterance, to be the initial evidence of this experience. We believe in the operation of the nine gifts of the Spirit and encourage other people to love so that these gifts may manifest in their lives (Acts 2:4).

  3. We believe in the freedom of worship with every form of expression being done in decency and in order, not drawing attention to oneself. We define order in our services as following the anointing of the Holy Spirit the the pastoral leadership on the stage (1 Corinthians 14:33, 40).

Destination Church adheres to Three Entities of Church Administration:

How Do I Connect at Destination Church?

The best ways to start connecting in the life of Destination Church is to:

1. Join a Life Group.

2. Support DC through Giving.

3. Serve on a Dream Team.

About the Destination Church Dream Team (Our Volunteer Ministry Base)

Our heart here at Destination Church is to love God and love people! By joining the Dream Team, you will be a part of a welcoming atmosphere for people to experience the life changing power of God’s Word from serving a cup of coffee to parking cars on the Parking Team.

Your commitment to Destination Church

We know that joining the Dream Team at Destination was a big decision on your part, therefore we ask that you maintain regular communication with your coach and/or service leader. Let your coach know if you will be late or unable to serve in your role as soon as possible. If you have questions or concerns, please feel free to contact one of our staff leaders.

Finally, if you ever decide to step down from your serve, please connect with us before doing so. We would like to talk and pray with you before you make the decision to start serving.
